"The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray."

No matter how well you plan something, always expect the unexpected.  Just because you think you've done all you can for something to go right....something can still get messed up or go wrong.  


I recently have had the experience in which a decision had to be made that was difficult for not only myself, but for someone I love very much.  The decisions were made mutually and were made to benefit both parties.  Sometimes the decisions made are not the easiest, but may be the most responsible and best for the time that they are being made.


The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live, and sometimes it is not the choice we had hoped to make, but the necessary one at that time.  A wise woman once told me, "Quick decisions are unsafe decisions." In this case, the decisions were not quick or rash, just not the best for the current situations of the parties involved.


Amelia Earhart once said, “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure , the process is its own reward.” I think she was a very smart woman.


No matter what the situation and the expectation outside of your situation, make the decisions that are right for you and your life.  Remember, you only get one run at this whole shin-dig and you want to "do it right", right?
