Notice ME, Pick ME, Choose ME!!! I'm BLEEDING talent over here!

Someone referred to me this morning as, "freakishly loud, and slightly overbearing."...Well....I....like to think of myself as "Passionate and Constantly advertising my talents!"

I am who I am. I am not an astronaut, a molecular cell biologist, nor am I dragon slayer. I'm an Actor, a filmmaker, a photographer, a self-proclaimed comedian and a dreamer. I'm just me, doing what I do. I don't try to be awesome...it just happens.  If you want to attend this entertainment festival, you have to buy a ticket!

So, there.

If you want to know about me, then all you have to do is: Step One: OPEN MOUTH.  Step Two: ASK!,  Ask me directly.  I am pretty much an open book...with torn, well marked pages, no bookmark and a missing dust jacket.

Things you should know about me: I have aspirations of working in Film/TV, but living in the Midwest...that dream is not coming to the surface very quickly....because you know....Minneapolis is the Epicenter of Cinematic activity. *Rolls Eyes*

As with anything, you have to try, try, try...and hope you meet a network of supportive people, to aid and foster your talents...assuming you ( I ) have any to begin with.  Oh shoot, maybe that's the problem. I should have known I suppose.  I was at an audition on time for this feature role in an Indie Film, and when I went in to the room to audition, the casting director thanked me to the bagels earlier and asked for a glass of water.  I wasn't sure what to say, so...I got the water.  Unfortunately, I didn't get the part.

I thought about leaving them with a few choice thoughts, but I figured...why waste my savvy retorts...they clearly wouldn't have any place to put them.  So, I opted to display my professionalism and I RETREATED!

Clearly, there are some social and psychological lessons to be learned from that instance and ones like them, but the tidbits I take from each failed interaction fuel each and every human interaction that occurs from that point further, and a person couldn't ask for a better self-education!

Moral of todays "Gum-ball":

Be who you are, NO MATTER WHAT.  As the GREAT Dr. Suess once said: "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

If things seems bleek...reach out to others, network, IT GET'S BETTER!

Find out who you are and do it on purpose!

Until next time...
